It is based on the manga with the same name, created by Shungiku Nakamura, who is also the mastermind behind the charmingly hilarious Junjou Romantica ('Pure-Hearted Romance', or something like it, first and second season subbed by AarinFantasy, google for torrents).
While waiting for the anime to be subbed, read the manga!
Having to choose which one of my babies I loved the most - I almost perished because of the emotional strain.
I must confess though that I hate the fact that the M/M fiction is severely underrepresented. Het fics, I hate you! I want juicy manmeat, not some sloppy pussy! It makes me depressed. Although it does kinda explain why I barely recognized any story titles or authors. Because yeah, I'm just a nerd like that.
I've already warned you that these thrustdowns won't be all PWP, and now I figured I might just as well make these threats come true. We're shallow enough as it is.
You in the mood for some existentialism and/or mindfucking on top of your ordinary boy on boy fuck?I mean, ordinary fictional boy on boy fuck... or IRL fuck, what the hell do I know. Then this is the thing for you.
Gray Matter is the philosophical work by FictionPress-author d'Neronique. He's really talented, and after two years' hiatus he's also back in business, so rejoice, oh ye ignorant! The moment of enlightenment is here.
Anyways, so Leon is this young man, who hasn't really got the same view on reality as the rest of mankind. Suddenly he finds himself in the middle of a philosophical war between the two anarchist gangs at school, and... you get mindfucked. Kinda. I guess.
I'm gonna be honest and tell you that it was ages since I last read it, but I can still remember the awesomeness of it. d'Neronique is a freaking genius, and all his work is well-written and he's just so aaaaweeesooooome.
The best would of course be if I reread it to freshen up my memory, in order to tell you about it more in-depth, but I'm a busy, busy girl and have already neglected my duties for far too long. Suffice to say that Gray Matter is good. Very good. Exceptionally good, and just as interesting, and if you are literate you will gain from reading it.
Despite not really containing any homoerotic relationships (unless you count the ones my starved fangirl mind cooks up), the Swedish movie Evil is definitely worth watching, basically because it contains obscene amounts of battery and abuse.

You all know I've got a penchant for young, intelligent and fairly attractive young boys engaging in violent activities, be it on the giving or the receiving end. If they on top of that has a dark and tragic past, my happiness is done.
The main character Erik Ponti is all of the above. After fucking up one too many times he is expelled from his school, the last public one in Stockholm that was willing to accept him. His mother, thinking that desperate times calls for desperate measures, sends her son to the bording school Stjärnsberg.
At Stjärnsberg, there are next to no sanctions exerted by the teachers. Instead, they practise correction through 'team spirit' - in other words, the pupils themselves hand out and execute punishments.
Erik Ponti is determined to graduate this time, in order to not cause any more trouble for his beloved mother, but his inherent honor (like, wtf?) makes it impossivble for him to silently accept injustice. He pisses off the Students' Council, and an orgy in violence and sadistic manipulation ensues, as the Council do their uttermost to break the rebel Erik.
Institutional violence seriously just makes me cream my pants, and the cock-sucker lips of Andreas Wilson, the guy playing the part of Ponti, just makes it so much better. He was made to suck dick, and I know deep down in my perverted heart that the second-in-command at the school, Dalén, thinks the exact same thing. He's just itching to bury his dick in that mouth, I tell you! It's evident the entire movie (or maybe it's not, but there's no way of knowing what goes on behind the camera, right?). I can bet that Dalén probably could think of a few other, more sexual ways, to bring Ponti to his knees - literally.
The entire movie is available on YouTube, complete with English subtitles. Watch it!
Maybe Thrustdown is a bad name, makes it seem as though it's gonna be all about porn... It's not, though, just so you know.
Finally, almost an entire year after I first got the idea, the first Thrustdown sees the light of day. This time I'd like to recommend a piece of original fiction, namelyBreaking the Mirror by Nilah E. Rose at Fictionpress.
This is not exactly a work worthy of the Nobel Prize in Literature, it's not even close, honestly. But I tell you, once you open the page and start read (and have read for a while, haha), you're gonna love it, just for the sheer amount of suffering the darling main character Jayden goes through every day.
The story is a wet dream for every angst lover out there. It's about Jayden, an adorable adolescent in Florida, who is severely abused by his father. Jayden goes through every day expecting a beating from his father and being polite to a fault, until he one day gets a new neighbour, Mr. Sexy McHotson(he might be called something else though, like Seaton. Maybe).
And no, Mr McHotson is not a guardian angel in disguise. He is harsh and rude, and thoroughly annoyed with Jayden and his polite behaviour. But they keep bumping into each other, and one thing leads to another, and maybe they'll fuck, maybe they won't, what do we know, right? Well, I know, because I've read it a couple of times, but you don't. So get to it, bitches.
There's just something about a cute boy being systematically abused, with a soul as scarred as his back, you know.
You gotta love them. Jayden is not an exception. His body is covered in scars, but what's taken the most damage is his psyche. Despite his charming exterior and endearing shy personality (with occasional outbursts of angst and anger), he only sees the image of his father and his misdoings when he looks into the mirror. He is convinced he is worthless.
Having been a teenager, I can tell that the description of how Jayden handles his situation and his emotions are fairly realistic. I've never gone through anything even close to what Jayden has, thank you, parents, but I can still relate to his reactions. Well done, Nilah E. Rose!
But I believe a warningis in order.
The story ends rather abruptly, if you can even call it an ending. It's just unexpectedly cut off when you least of all expects it. Some would call it unfinished, abandoned, but the author deems it to be indeed finished. She says that she 'felt that like trying to add it anymore, or even wrap the story up in a neat little bow, would be doing it a disservice'. I'm not sure if I agree with her, but since she is the one in charge I guess I'll just have to accept it. But yes,be warned - you will be deeply frustrated at the end of it.But the journey there is an exhilarating one, so I hope you will find it worth your while!
I've never really understood authors on FP or FF or LJ or wherever, really, who apologize for writing long chapters. Am I the only one who appreciate them? Prolong the pleasure, etc. The longer the chapter, the longer I can enjoy it, right? Right?
